Salima Ranmal joins XPRIZE as Director, Prize Operations, with over 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has worked with healthcare providers across the country to increase adoption of technology, implement performance improvement strategies and meet key performance indicators. Ms. Ranmal’s vast experience with project and program management helps her with the operations and execution of prizes at the foundation. Prior to joining XPRIZE, Ms. Ranmal worked for McKesson Corporation in a variety of roles. As a consultant, she helped clients successfully implement a suite of clinical information technology focusing on process redesign, change management and full scale adoption. Ms. Ranmal also held the role of Senior Program Manager at McKesson where she managed the Meaningful Use program for over 1000 oncology care providers across the country. Ms. Ranmal has also held the role of Lead Facilitator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center managing large scale, cross functional projects such as reducing readmissions, decreasing rate of falls and surgical site infections. Ms. Ranmal has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She also holds a Master’s degree in Health Systems from the Georgia Institute of Technology as well as a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ms. Ranmal is a trained Six Sigma Blackbelt and holds a PMP from the Project Management Institute.
