Wirefly X Prize Cup 2006: Thank You

Held on October 20-21, the 2006 Wirefly X Prize cup was a sensational event. With the theme "Our next giant leap back to the moon," many talented teams of professional and student aerospace engineers competed to create the machines of tomorrow that will make that leap possible--all before a dazzled audience.

Among the countless sci-fi-like feats in the 2006 Wirefly X Prize Cup there was the building of a light-powered Space Elevator, the flight of a new Lunar Lander as well as the showcase and blasting off of rockets of all sizes. Make sure you don't miss the pictures, stories and video from the 2006 Wirefly X PRIZE Cup: www.space.com/wireflyxprizecup.
