Adopt a Team

Get your students involved with the Google Lunar X PRIZE by adopting a team! Cheer on your team by sending pictures and letters; ask questions about your team and their vehicle; and interact with your team through the Google Lunar X PRIZE online forum.

GLXP Adopt-a-Team Guidelines
This informal arrangement allows students to be involved in the Google Lunar X PRIZE competition through interactions with the team.  

How to Adopt a Team
You can learn more about each team in the Teams area of the site. Research the teams and choose one. Fill out the form below. Teams will be notified that a school/class has adopted them, and we will provide you with contact information for the team.

Responsibilities of Adopting a Team Schools/classes may send their adopted team pictures, letters and cards; ask them questions by email; and invite teams to be speakers (if local). A special team-class forum will be set up on the Google Lunar X PRIZE website for each team and their adopting class(es). This forum will be closed to outside participation; only the teams and the students/teachers will be able to post or read messages in this forum. Each team will have a forum with multiple adopting classes; this way, the classes can talk to each other as well. Your forum URL will be sent to you. No monetary or other obligations are conveyed by this arrangement. Teams or schools may terminate the arrangement as necessary, although teams are required to notify the termination of any arrangement through the Google Lunar X PRIZE staff first.

Please note: this information is for verification and general data use only; teams will be notified that a school has adopted them, but this contact information will not be given directly to the team or used by the Foundation for other then aggregate purposes (e.g. 37 schools from California have adopted teams)

(In the case that we have teams with no adopting schools, we may ask that you change your team request so all our teams have an opportunity to be adopted)
