AirBuoyant, LLC, LunaTrex's company lead, has received acceptance of its offer to purchase 3 acres at the Anderson, IN Municipal Airport in their new Aero Park, for construction of a new 15,000 square foot facility.
The preliminary design has been done (see attached picture). The building will be fully LEED-certified as a "green building" and will feature solar panels, wind turbines, and bio-diesel fueled gensets as primary and backup power, making it energy-neutral with respect to the grid.
The facility will house AirBuoyant's aircraft development, LunaTrex's hardware development and integration, as well as, eventually, a fully-equipped mission control center to conduct space mission operations.
Ground-breaking is expected in Q3 of this year, with move in scheduled for Q2, 2009.
