Allan Ludgate

Managing Director, Monitor Institute by Deloitte

Allan Ludgate is a Managing Director at Monitor Institute by Deloitte and works with a wide range of clients to accelerate growth, impact and system level change. Allan’s primary focus is on education, working with leaders across sectors to create scalable, sustainable solutions that strengthen student pathways “from cradle to career.” His higher education work has focused for a decade on supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (“HBCUs”) and he is currently working with UNCF to launch “HBCUv” (https://bit.ly/39UFPkA) , an initiative to reimagine online education in partnership with HBCUs.

 

Allan also works extensively with clients to create place-based change strategies, leading significant efforts to reduce poverty in New York City, Philadelphia and Hawai’i. He has extensive experience in the public sector as well, working with the Obama Administration to launch Change the Equation and the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance and advising Mayor Eric Adams of New York City. Allan writes extensively on strategies to increase student success in higher education in his role as a Senior Fellow at Deloitte’s Center for Higher Education Excellence. 

Allan holds a B.S. in Jazz Studies from New York University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
