Chief Scientist, Aris Water

Lisa Henthorne has worked in technology and industry-wide leadership roles throughout the water and energy sectors for more than 30 years and has pioneered water treatment applications for management of produced water, brackish water, seawater and industrial and municipal wastewaters.

Henthorne serves as the Chief Scientist at Aris Water and previously served as President of the Produced Water Society and President of the International Desalination Association. She served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of H2O Innovation, a 1000+ employee global water treatment, service and specialty chemical company until its recent privatization.  In previous roles, she was a Vice President at CH2M HILL (now Jacobs) as their Global Director of Desalination Technology based in Dubai, UAE, and led the desalination research program for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. She was also instrumental in establishing the Middle East Desalination Research Center in Muscat, Oman in support of the U.S. State Department. Henthorne holds a M.S. degree in Chemical and Petroleum-Refining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Missouri State University.
