Nick is a passionate energy professional with over 14 years of experience in the energy sector. Nick's main interest is in whole-of-system modelling and optimisation, with a focus on economic analysis of new investments and detailed assessments of system adequacy and resilience.

In his role at the Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), Nick focuses on developing solutions and mitigations to the operability challenges arising from the evolution of power and water production in Abu Dhabi as the system transitions towards net zero. He also assesses the impact of enhancements to the current fleet of power and water production plants to improve system efficiency.

Prior to joining EWEC, he held several roles in system planning and consulting in Australia where he was helping to design the system of the future.
