Leslie Crews, PhD
Leslie Crews, PhD Assistant Professor, Division of Regenerative Medicine, University of California San Diego; Co-Leader, Hematologic Malignancies Research Program, Moores Cancer Center; Member, Sanford Stem Cell Institute

Dr. Leslie Crews is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego, where her laboratory studies the molecular mechanisms linking aging, stem cell dysfunction, and age-related disease.

Her research integrates geroscience, regenerative medicine, and cancer biology to define how aging-associated changes in RNA regulation, inflammation, lipid metabolism, and microenvironmental factors drive loss of tissue resilience and malignant transformation. Using translational models of hematologic aging and lymphoid malignancies, her laboratory identifies actionable mechanisms that can improve therapeutic response and healthy longevity. Dr. Crews is a recipient of a prestigious NCI R37 MERIT Award and is a Scholar of Blood Cancer United.
