BIOSORRA is a female-led, Africa-based climate justice company dedicated to addressing climate change and farming resilience. By leveraging patented pyrolysis technology, BIOSORRA transforms agricultural waste into biochar, bio-oil, bioenergy, and carbon removal credits. Its innovative eco-village station model integrates with local food producers to ensure steady biomass supply while reducing CO₂ emissions, costs, and logistics. BIOSORRA's mission includes fostering sustainable agriculture and improving livelihoods, with a goal of annually achieving 1 million metric tons of CO₂ removal through 68 operational stations. BIOSORRA’s patented technology combines pyrolysis with eco-village stations that maximize efficiency and scalability. The team’s approach integrates biochar into farming and construction, enabling long-term carbon sequestration while improving soil health and farmer productivity. Their technology is designed to be adaptable, low-cost, and accessible, promoting climate justice in underserved regions.
