Meet the Qualified Teams

XPRIZE Rainforest’s independent judging panel has selected 36 teams from 18 countries to advance to the second round of the XPRIZE Rainforest competition. These high-quality interdisciplinary teams will spend the next year developing and refining their innovative approaches ahead of the Semifinal Submission deadline in Q2 of 2022. For this, teams will be required to submit a video demonstration along with additional technical documentation showing their entry is capable and ready to advance to Semifinal field testing in one of three global locations. Ultimately, teams solutions will need to survey the most biodiversity contained in 100 hectares of tropical rainforest in 24 hours and produce the most impactful real-time insights within 48 hours in order to win the competition.
