Dimensional Energy’s thermocatalytic reactor platform technology converts carbon dioxide (CO₂) into chemicals. Their pilot plant converts CO₂ to a drop-in clean synthetic crude, and they are working toward automation and scaling goals that integrate upstream and downstream components. With Dimensional Energy technology, nearly the entirety of the petro-chemical space of fuels, plastics, and other chemicals can be made non-petro and sustainable in the circular carbon economy. All Dimensional Energy products come from two molecules: carbon dioxide sourced from the atmosphere and industrial sites, and hydrogen derived from water. Inside their reactor, which is powered by renewable energy and built with advanced materials, their catalyst breaks carbon dioxide’s notoriously stable molecular bonds to form carbon monoxide, which then mixes with hydrogen to make synthesis gas, a building block for fuel and products, and a replacement for crude oil and natural gas. This enables the replacement of fossil carbon in the fuels and products people use every day.
