Emily Musil Church joins XPRIZE with more than 12 years of experience in both higher education and non-profit organizations.  Prior to joining XPRIZE, Dr. Church served as a college professor at Lafayette College, Trinity College, and American University, where she specialized in African history, human rights, and women’s global issues. Her diverse background working with academics, politicians, and NGO executives provided the opportunity to design complex research projects, oversee budgets, plan events, manage programs, teach and train teachers, publish in various outlets, and give presentations across the country and overseas.

Dr. Church has a Ph.D. and M.A. from UCLA, and a B.A. from Drew University. She won a Fulbright-Hays Research Fellowship and has conducted in-depth research in over a dozen countries on three continents.  She served on the Panel of Judges for the 2013 Gleitsman International Activist Award for the Harvard University Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership.
